GrantCraft

The GrantCraft program of the Ford Foundation is a source of practical wisdom for grant makers on the tools and techniques of effective grant making.   GrantCraft offers guides, videos, and case studies that present the practitioner’s view of philanthropy.   Members of the Grantmakers Forum are eligible for a 20% discount on all materials, above and beyond any quantity discounts.

Grantmaking Basics Online Course

Grantmaking Basics Online is a web-based course offered by the Council on Foundations that allows for self-paced learning in the fundamentals of grantmaking.   It is most helpful for organizations that have developed their strategy and want more process help.   It is useful as a staff or board refresher course, an orientation program for newcomers, or to complement an existing orientation program.   The special rate for Grantmakers Forum members is $150, regularly $295.   For additional information, visit www.cof.org/grantmakingbasics to try one chapter for free.
