Grant Opportunities This section contains occasional announcements of grant availability or requests for proposals. It is not intended to replace other sources of grantseeker information, but may provide local information for Upstate New York.

New York Council for the Humanities The New York Council for the Humanities has major grants are available for project requests of $2500 or more (there is no upper limit for these grants, but awards rarely exceed $15,000). These grants may be used for a wide variety of humanities programs at not-for-profit organizations that bring humanities scholars and scholarship to a general public audience. Similar grants for project requests of under $2500 are available through the Council’s mini-grant program, which accepts applications at any time during the year.
