What is the impact on our region?

 

In 2007-2008, Grantmakers Forum of New York partnered with Grantmakers In Aging (GIA), an international organization dedicated to promoting and strengthening grantmaking for an aging society, to advance awareness and understanding of critical issues concerning aging and philanthropy. Additional support was provided by several New York State funders:

  • Albany Guardian Society
  • Community Health Foundation of Western and Central New York
  • John F. Wegman Fund at Rochester Area Community Foundation
  • United Way of Greater Rochester

 

Grantmakers Forum of New York convened funders and nonprofits around the state and introduced topics designed to broaden and increase funding of programs, services and research to address aging issues affecting our communities, to adequately support our aging population and to maintain the quality of life standards for residents of every age.  The links below will take you to the materials that were developed as a result of this work.
