What is change beyond charity?  It is assuring that funder investments in the community bear fruit that sustains for the long term.  It is building assets for those in poverty to break the cycle.  It is involving yourself and your organization in a process that ensures that policy decisions are made for the good of the nonprofit community, not at its expense.  It is partnering with many to succeed where one might fail.  Change beyond charity is working to invest your time and your organization’s money to build vibrant communities with a bright future.  

The committee for this year’s conference has planned a series of focused discussions about community change and how it occurs.  We have invited speakers from throughout the country to talk about the tools and processes for change.  What succeeds and why?  We have incorporated your wishes and built in networking time, both formal and informal.  For our site, we have chosen a representative Upstate New York small city with assets and shortfalls.  We invite you to join us on September 20-21 to experience the beauty of the Finger Lakes region and to share your philanthropic endeavors with colleagues from around the state.
