The over 160 members included family and private foundations, corporations, community foundations, other community-based funders like United Way, and the region’s local regional associations of grantmakers and their members: Grantmakers Alliance of Northeastern New York, Rochester Grantmakers Forum and Western New York Grantmakers Association. The Funders Alliance was formed in 2000 by 28 representatives of grantmakers from Albany, Binghamton, Buffalo, Chautauqua, Corning, Elmira, Ithaca, Rochester, Syracuse and Utica.
